"Monica is astute, clever, intelligent, and the most captivating writer. She is a new-age marketer with hands on experience capable of understanding the latest Internet trends and social media technologies. She is capable of seeing what others fail to see in a business concept. Monica is also a great abstract thinker with a quite creative sense of humor and an amazing talent to connect people with each other. I must say, I've met many new wonderful people through her mainly due to her lovely personality which attracts all the right minds. "- Rastin Mehr, Founder/Web Application Architect, rmd Studio Inc.
"Writer and social media maven Monica Hamburg added her own usual intelligence and wit to the mix. She's probably assimilated the equivalent of a Ph.D worth of info about social marketing by now. Some of her latest finds are explained with her usual eloquence in Monica's latest blog post, Behold the Power of Facebook for Business. "- Jonathan Narvey, Principal, WRITEIMAGE
"Local new media aficionado and funny girl Monica Hamburg known for her hilarious "Your Dose of Lunacy" posts and the more serious "Me Like the Interweb" blog, wrote a great piece recently on Facebook for business. Here it is in it's entirety - you can't fail to learn from it "- Mhairi Petrovic, Owner, Out-Smarts Internet Marketing Co.
I very agree with the results of Dr. Martin Seligman's VIA Signature Strengths Questionnaire. Never has a personality test gotten me so right (though I'm not convinced of the order (e.g. I value honesty but is it my 2nd strength? I would rank my love of learning there).
Top Strength: Humour and Playfulness
I like to laugh and tease. Bringing smiles to other people is
important to me. I try to see the light side of all situations.
Second Strength: Honesty, Authenticity, and
Genuineness
I am an honest person, not only by speaking the truth but by living
my life in a genuine and authentic way. I am down to earth and
without pretense; I am a "real" person.
Third Strength: Judgment, Critical Thinking,
and Open-Mindedness
Thinking things through and examining them from all sides are
important aspects of who I am. I do not jump to conclusions, and
I rely only on solid evidence to make my decisions. I am able
to change my mind.
Fourth Strength: Caution, Prudence, and Discretion
I am a careful person, and my choices are consistently prudent
ones. I do not say or do things that I might later regret.
Fifth Strength: Love of Learning
I love learning new things, whether in a class or on my own. I
have always loved school, reading, and museums-anywhere and everywhere
there is an opportunity to learn.
